Did i need a video card for adding a dual monitor?

Do i need it? What worth it|||check if your current video card has 2 display outs. then u already have the ability, if not the other option unless u got an SLI board is PCI.

Dual Monitor is satisfying to have, as you can say play a game on one screen while monitoring your msn messenger, chat rooms, perhaps even yahoo answers page.. also u can watch dvd videos etc... if you work like a graphics designer you'll find its always good to have alot of spaces.. and also if u like to have alot of programs open its a plus as well.|||if your video card cannot handle dual video like the best answer said. there is also an option for a cheap VGA splitter. it will give you 2 video out ports for dual monitors. this unfortunately will give you two copies of the same screen, but there are uses for this.

|||Dual Monitors are excellent at increasing productivity on a "Work station" PC. Also there are a lot of things to be said for Dual monitors on both multi-media or gaming PC's. I have a network set-up that allows me to view one or more (up to 4 actually, in my case) desktops across my Dual monitor Set-up which really increases your multi-tasking capabilities( for example: I can download files onto PC 1 while simultaneously looking for info one the web, PC 2 and at the same time have a word processor open PC 3 and my estimating software PC 4, running all at the same time! This makes my whole set-up faster because none of my cpu's are maxed out while multi-tasking.)

This Link should walk you through your options Step-by-step.
